Dark Water
DramaHorrorMystery105 min
Separated from her husband and fighting for custody of her young daughter, Dahlia moves into a worn-down apartment building on Roosevelt Island to start over. The place is cheap, but it quickly feels wrong: water stains spread across the ceiling, dark water leaks from above, and the building’s managers brush off every complaint. As Dahlia tries to hold her life together, her daughter becomes fixated on an unseen presence tied to the apartment and the roof-top water tank. Jennifer Connelly centers a story where legal pressure, isolation, and a child’s fear keep tightening around a mother who can no longer tell whether the building is neglected, haunted, or both.
