Salman Khan is Pawan, a devout Hanuman follower who takes responsibility for a mute Pakistani girl after she is separated from her mother in India. Unable to explain who she is or where she belongs, Shahida (Harshaali Malhotra) becomes his traveling companion as he tries to get her back across the border and home to her family. The story moves from crowded railway stations and Delhi streets toward northern India and Kashmir, building around Pawan’s blunt honesty, the child’s silence, and the obstacles that come with crossing between India and Pakistan.
