Emmannuelle Prevert is the neglected wife of a diplomat whose attention has shifted from marriage to bodybuilding, and her search for affection turns into a string of affairs that reaches all the way to the Prime Minister and the American Ambassador. Suzanne Danielle is Emmannuelle, moving through London and leaving scandal behind her, while Kenneth Williams and Joan Sims are part of the familiar Carry On ensemble orbiting the fallout. When a jealous lover sends a list of her conquests to the press, private frustration becomes a public embarrassment, and Emmannuelle’s original problem remains unresolved: winning over her own husband.
