Ariane Ascaride is Ariane, a woman whose birthday party ends before it begins when no one shows up. Instead of going back to the life that has disappointed her, she heads for the Marseille seafront and a café where strangers, regulars, and passing conversations start to reshape the day. With Jean-Pierre Darroussin and Jacques Boudet among the faces she meets, the film stays close to Ariane as she wanders, talks, and looks for a way forward after a quiet personal collapse.
