Metamorphoses
DramaFantasy102 min
Outside her high school, a girl named Europa meets a strange young man who asks her to follow him and listen to stories of gods who desire, deceive, and transform the people around them. Amira Akili and Sébastien Hirel lead this modern-day reworking of Ovid, where skipped classes and roadside encounters give way to a mythical landscape just beyond ordinary France. Traveling with Jupiter in his eight-wheel truck, Europa drifts into the company of figures like Bacchus and Orpheus, watching ancient seductions and punishments unfold in a world where humans can become animals, trees, or something else entirely.
