The Pianist

DramaWar150 min

Adrien Brody is Władysław Szpilman, a celebrated Polish Jewish pianist whose life is dismantled as Nazi-occupied Warsaw closes in around him. Based on Szpilman’s true story, the film follows him from concert halls into the Warsaw ghetto, where he keeps working at a café as his family faces deportation and the city is steadily destroyed. As the war tightens its grip, Szpilman is pushed into forced labor, secrecy, and hiding places scattered through the ruins. Emilia Fox and Michał Żebrowski are among the figures around him as music, hunger, and survival shape his days.
