Schindler's List

DramaWar195 min

As war closes around Nazi-occupied Poland, businessman Oskar Schindler turns a factory staffed by Jewish laborers into a fragile refuge from the Holocaust. Liam Neeson is Schindler, a German industrialist and Nazi Party member whose motives shift as the violence around him becomes impossible to ignore; Ben Kingsley’s Itzhak Stern, his accountant, helps turn hiring and paperwork into protection for workers and their families. Steven Spielberg’s film stays close to the machinery of occupation — the ghetto, the camp system, the factory floor — as Schindler uses his influence to keep more than a thousand Jewish lives from Nazi control.
