The Miracle

ComedyDramaFamilyRomance136 min

A newly assigned teacher arrives in a remote Turkish village in the 1960s and discovers the children have no school at all. As he settles into village life, his attention turns to the people around him — especially a disabled man living on the margins — and to the shared work of building a classroom from scratch. The story moves through the rhythms of the countryside, village relationships, and the teacher’s growing sense of responsibility to both the children and the adults who have been left behind. Talat Bulut and Mert Turak are among the film’s central faces.
