Aydın, a retired actor running a small hotel in rural Anatolia, finds the quiet of winter giving way to strain inside his own household. Haluk Bilginer is the hotel owner, living with his much younger wife and his recently divorced sister as old resentments rise to the surface. A minor incident begins to widen those cracks, pulling in the tensions between landlord and tenant, comfort and dependence. With Melisa Sözen as Aydın’s increasingly dissatisfied wife, the film keeps its focus on the long conversations, small humiliations, and shifting power inside the hotel as snow closes in around them.
