Ebenezer Scrooge is a hard-hearted miser whose Christmas Eve turns into a reckoning when the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future arrive at his door. Michael Caine’s Scrooge stays straight-faced at the center of the Dickens story, while Kermit the Frog appears as Bob Cratchit, the underpaid clerk trying to keep his family afloat. Miss Piggy and the rest of the Muppets fill out the Victorian world with songs, jokes, and puppetry, as the film follows Scrooge through memories, warnings, and the cost of the life he’s chosen.
