The Illumination
Drama91 min
Over the course of a decade in Poland, a young physics student sees his faith in reason and scientific order shaken by personal loss and affairs of the heart. Stanislaw Latallo carries the film as the student at its center, while Monika Dzienisiewicz-Olbrychska is part of the intimate relationships that pull his life beyond the lecture hall. The story moves through study, work, family, and philosophical inquiry, tracing how a disciplined mind responds when experience refuses to fit cleanly into theory. Documentary touches enter the drama too, including an appearance by philosopher Wladyslaw Tatarkiewicz.
