Dominick DiNapoli finds comfort in food, and after a cousin dies from weight-related health problems, his family decides he has to change. Dom DeLuise is Dominick, struggling through diets and old habits while his sister Antoinette — Anne Bancroft in a brisk, worried turn — pushes him to take his health seriously. The story follows his uneven efforts to slim down, and the shift that comes when he meets a local shop owner named Lydia and starts thinking about love, self-image, and whether he can make a different life for himself.
