Kika
Comedy117 min
Kika is a cosmetologist whose routine visit to prepare a body turns strange fast when the supposedly dead Ramón wakes up on her table, and she soon begins a romance with him. Verónica Forqué is Kika, openhearted and increasingly surrounded by jealousy, intrusion, and crossed desires. Peter Coyote’s Nicholas, Ramón’s father and an American writer, complicates things further by fixing his own attention on her. Written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar, the film moves through a world of voyeurism, media spectacle, and unstable relationships, with Kika caught at the center of the mess.
