The Count
Comedy34 min
After a tailor’s apprentice scorches Count Broko’s clothes and gets thrown out, a missed note about an upper-crust dance party sends both the apprentice and his boss toward the same mansion under false pretenses. Charles Chaplin is the unruly apprentice at the center of the confusion, while Eric Campbell’s tailor seizes the chance to pose as the absent count. What follows is a chain of mistaken identities, social climbing, and physical comedy, with Chaplin turning a formal party into a series of collisions, interruptions, and near-exposures.
