Rock Keats is an undercover LAPD officer who spends months earning the trust of car thief and drug runner Archie Moses, only to have the job collapse once his identity comes out. Damon Wayans is Keats, whose real name is Jack Carter; Adam Sandler’s Archie takes the betrayal personally, and the two wind up stuck together while the case against their drug-world connections keeps closing in. James Caan shows up as Frank, the crime boss at the center of the sting. The setup turns their broken friendship into the engine for the action, with gunfights, car chases, and plenty of bad blood between a cop and the criminal he was supposed to bring down.
