Mr. Klein

CrimeDramaMysteryThrillerWar123 min

Paris, 1942: Robert Klein is a successful art dealer profiting from the desperation of Jews forced to sell under Nazi occupation, until he learns there is another Robert Klein in the city — apparently a Jewish man whose identity could be confused with his own. Alain Delon is Klein, a man whose comfort and certainty start to give way as police attention closes in and he begins searching for his double. In occupied Paris, Joseph Losey builds the story around bureaucracy, suspicion, and the danger of a name becoming evidence.
