Voices in the Wind
Drama139 min
Eight years after the 2011 tsunami, Haru leaves Hiroshima and travels back to her hometown in Iwate, where she lost her parents and brother in the flood. Her return becomes a road trip through a Japan still marked by the disaster, shaped by grief, brief encounters, and the rumor of a telephone booth known as the wind phone, said to carry words to the dead. Serena Motola and Hidetoshi Nishijima are among the ensemble as the film follows Haru’s search for some way to face the place she left behind.
