The Manchurian Candidate

DramaThriller126 min

After a Korean War platoon returns from communist captivity, Sergeant Raymond Shaw is celebrated as a Medal of Honor hero while his former commander can’t shake the nightmares linked to their capture. Frank Sinatra is Captain Bennett Marco, increasingly convinced the men were brainwashed, and Laurence Harvey’s Shaw sits at the center of a political plot he may not even understand. As Marco follows the gaps in his memory, Janet Leigh enters as a civilian connection, while Angela Lansbury is Shaw’s domineering mother, closely tied to an ambitious anti-Communist senator.
