Beyond the Forest
DramaRomanceThriller97 min
In small-town Wisconsin, Bette Davis is Rosa Moline, the dissatisfied wife of a country doctor who sees marriage, respectability, and provincial routine as a trap. When a wealthy Chicago businessman (Joseph Cotten) enters her orbit and offers the possibility of a different life, Rosa starts testing how far she can bend the rules around money, sex, and status to get out. What begins as romantic escape curdles into something harder and more dangerous, with Davis at the center of a story built on resentment, vanity, and reckless ambition.
