After a blowup with his inept boss, hotheaded Hong Kong cop Bill Chu is shunted to the Emergency Unit just as a mob turf war turns personal. Ching-Wan Lau is Chu, a policeman whose latest demotion stops looking temporary when gangsters kill a close friend and former colleague. Forced to work with a mismatched department, he pulls together the unit’s oddball officers for a retaliation campaign that cuts across police infighting and street-level gang violence. Jordan Chan is among the faces in Chu’s rough-edged squad as the case shifts from routine duty to a revenge mission.
