In a Hong Kong prison split between rival Chinese factions, Chow Yun-Fat is a veteran inmate trying to keep his footing as tensions rise on the cellblock. A bond with a fellow prisoner, played by Sung-Young Chen, draws him into a dangerous alliance just as violence between the factions starts boiling over. Outside the walls, he’s also haunted by his young son, living in an orphanage, and the pull of that family tie pushes him toward a risky escape. The story stays close to prison routines, shifting loyalties, and the pressure of survival inside a system built to crush it.
