Where Do We Go Now?

ComedyDrama110 min

In an isolated Lebanese village ringed by land mines, Muslim and Christian families have kept a fragile peace — until violence elsewhere in the country starts creeping closer. Fearing another round of sectarian bloodshed, the village’s women work together to keep their husbands, sons, and fathers from being pulled into it, first by sabotaging the radio and television, then with increasingly bold distractions. Nadine Labaki appears among the women trying to hold the community together, with Claude Baz Moussawbaa and Layla Hakim in the village ensemble. The church and mosque stand side by side, and everyday rituals sit next to grief, rumor, and comic chaos.
