After a bank robbery scheme goes sideways, Woody Allen is a small-time crook trying to tunnel into a bank while a storefront serves as cover. The heist stalls out, but the business they set up to hide it becomes a hit, leaving him and his wife rich for reasons that have nothing to do with the original plan. Tracey Ullman is the sharper half of the pair, adjusting to their sudden success much faster than he does. Written and directed by Allen, the movie follows a bad criminal idea as it turns into a very different kind of windfall.
