A Gentle Breeze in the Village
ComedyDramaRomance121 min
At a tiny village school with only six students, Soyo starts to see her everyday world differently when Hiromi, a new classmate from Tokyo, transfers in. Kaho gives Soyo an open, observant center, while Masaki Okada brings an easy urban polish that immediately stands out in the rural setting. As the two grow closer, the film follows the small routines around them — schooldays, choir practice, family life, and the quiet social currents of a place where everyone knows one another. What unfolds is a closely observed portrait of first feelings, adolescent self-consciousness, and the contrast between city allure and village life.
