Sweet Rain: Accuracy of Death
ComedyDramaFantasy113 min
Chiba is a grim reaper with a precise assignment: appear seven days before an unexpected death, shadow the target, and decide whether to “execute” or “pass over.” Takeshi Kaneshiro’s Chiba arrives in the rain to observe Kazue Fujiki, an overworked employee in a manufacturing company’s complaints department whose death is due in a week. As he follows her through office routines and daily frustrations, the film turns an otherworldly premise into something oddly procedural, with rain-soaked encounters, deadpan humor, and a countdown hanging over ordinary life.
