Viridiana
Drama91 min
A novice nun visits her aging uncle at his rural estate before taking her vows, expecting a brief family duty and finding a household shaped by loneliness, control, and old desires. Her innocence and religious devotion unsettle him, and the visit turns into a crisis that derails the life she thought she had chosen. Refusing to retreat, Viridiana tries to make the estate a place of charity by sheltering local beggars, but her attempt to impose order and virtue opens the door to resentment, mockery, and chaos. Silvia Pinal is at the center of a story that keeps pushing piety, guilt, and class against each other until the house itself becomes a battleground.
