L'Avventura

DramaMysteryRomance144 min

On a yachting trip off the coast of Sicily, Anna disappears on a remote volcanic island, and the search falls to her friend Claudia and Anna’s lover, Sandro. Monica Vitti is Claudia, whose growing closeness to Gabriele Ferzetti’s Sandro turns the search into something uneasy and conflicted. Moving from the island into cities and seaside stops across Italy, the film follows desire, guilt, and distraction as the missing woman’s absence reshapes every scene.
