Intruder in the Dust

CrimeDramaMystery87 min

After a Black man is arrested for the murder of a white man in 1940s rural Mississippi, the only people willing to challenge the town’s version of events are a local boy, his friend, and an elderly woman. Juano Hernandez is Lucas Beauchamp, jailed after he’s found standing over the body with a recently fired pistol and facing the threat of a lynch mob. Convinced Lucas is innocent, the boy turns to prominent lawyer Gavin Stevens (David Brian), pressing him to take a case the town seems ready to settle through rumor, race, and fear before any trial can begin.
