Masaharu Fukuyama is Ryota Nonomiya, a successful businessman whose orderly family life is upended by a hospital’s call: the six-year-old son he and his wife have raised was switched at birth. As Ryota and Midori begin meeting the other household, class differences sharpen an already impossible situation. Machiko Ono’s Midori remains bound to the boy she knows as her own, while Lily Franky is the looser, less status-conscious father who has been raising Ryota’s biological child. What begins as a private shock turns into a painful reckoning over fatherhood, blood ties, and the family habits built over six years.
