In Vienna in the months before Christmas 1993, 71 brief scenes follow a scattered group of strangers — a student, a child, a bank customer, a lonely older man, families moving through ordinary routines — whose lives brush against one another before a senseless shooting on Christmas Eve. The film builds its chronology through fragments: meals, errands, television news, silences, small arguments, and missed connections. Faces recur across the mosaic, including Gabriel Cosmin Urdes and Lukas Miko, as separate lives slowly form a picture of chance, distance, and everyday life in the city.
