Gangubai Kathiawadi
CrimeDramaRomance157 min
Duped and sold to a Bombay brothel, Gangubai refuses to remain a pawn and begins turning the city’s red-light district to her advantage. Alia Bhatt is the young woman at the center, moving from exploitation toward influence as she forges ties with gangsters and becomes a force in the world that trapped her. With Ajay Devgn and Vijay Raaz in her orbit, the film follows her rise through street politics, sisterhood, and fights over dignity and women’s rights. Sanjay Leela Bhansali places the story in a dense Mumbai of brothels, backroom power, and public battles over who gets heard.
