After a shipwreck leaves him stranded on a remote island, Russ Harvey is the unlucky survivor taken captive in the castle of a cruel Count. Inside, he finds a decaying household cut off from the outside world, with Helen Hogan and William McNulty among the faces crowding the Count’s halls and dungeon. The setup leans hard into Gothic horror: a waterfront fortress, a prisoner who can’t leave, and a family warped by cruelty, madness, and suspicion. As the captive tries to make sense of the people holding him there, the castle’s punishments and buried secrets close in around him.
