Curucu, Beast of the Amazon
ActionAdventureHorror76 min
After plantation workers abandon their jobs in terror over attacks blamed on a monster called Curucu, Rock Dean and Dr. Andrea Romar head up the Amazon to learn what’s driving the panic. John Bromfield is Rock, leading the expedition into remote river country, while Beverly Garland’s Dr. Andrea Romar joins him as the search moves deeper into the Brazilian jungle. The film threads together jungle-travel adventure and creature-feature menace, with frightened workers, isolated outposts, and a legend about a beast living farther upriver than any outsider has gone.
