After a demotion sidelines his unorthodox methods, Jackie Chan’s Chan Ka-kui is pulled back into Hong Kong’s streets when a gang of bombers starts blackmailing the city and old enemies come looking for revenge. Maggie Cheung returns as May, Ka-kui’s increasingly fed-up girlfriend, while Bill Tung is the superior officer who knows Ka-kui is never far from the next case. Directed by Chan, the sequel keeps its focus on police work, undercover moves, and a mounting series of explosions as Ka-kui tries to contain two threats closing in at once.
