The Grand Seduction
Comedy113 min
In a Newfoundland fishing village chasing a business contract, acting mayor Murray French needs one crucial thing the town doesn’t have: a resident doctor. Brendan Gleeson’s Murray seizes on a trial visit from big-city physician Paul Lewis and turns it into a village-wide effort to keep him there for good. Taylor Kitsch is Paul, suddenly surrounded by neighbors who know his favorite music, share his hobbies, and seem uncannily eager to make him comfortable. As his temporary stay starts running out, Murray keeps tightening the plan, recruiting the whole community into an increasingly elaborate campaign of hospitality and deception.
