Jim Belushi’s detective Michael Dooley is already in the crosshairs of a drug dealer when he’s assigned an unusual partner: Jerry Lee, a German shepherd trained to sniff out narcotics. The dog could be the key to the case, but he works on his own terms, turning stakeouts and searches into a running battle of damaged cars, wrecked rooms, and bruised pride. Mel Harris appears alongside Dooley as his job keeps spilling into his personal life, while the central matchup stays with a cop who likes control and a police dog with none of his respect for rules.
