When introverted high school student Kaoru Nishimi transfers to a new school, he clashes with a classmate known more for fights than grades — until a shared love of jazz brings them together. Yuri Chinen leads as the tightly wound Kaoru, while Taishi Nakagawa gives the delinquent Sentarō an easy warmth that shifts the story from rivalry to friendship. As the two boys spend more time around music, school life opens up into young romance, shifting loyalties, and the awkward intensity of adolescence. The film keeps its focus on how quickly one unexpected connection can change the shape of a teenager’s world.
