A sword-wielding killer turns a rural California drive-in into a crime scene, cutting through moviegoers while two detectives scramble to find who’s stalking the lot. John F. Goff and Steve Vincent are the cops working the case, moving through a summer-night crowd of patrons and hangers-on as the murders keep coming. George “Buck” Flower is one of the many strange faces circling the theater, where parked cars, dim walkways, and the edges of the screen become part of the hunt. The result is a grimy 1970s slasher built around a single location and a killer who can vanish back into the crowd.
