Bill Murray is Bob Harris, jet-lagged and stalled out in a luxury hotel; Scarlett Johansson's Charlotte is newly married, restless, and unsure what to do with herself in a city she barely knows. Between late-night bars, whispered conversations, karaoke, and the blur of Tokyo streets, the two carve out a private connection that sits somewhere between friendship, flirtation, and a temporary escape from the lives waiting for them back home.
