Match Point

DramaRomanceThriller124 min

In London, Jonathan Rhys Meyers is Chris Wilton, a former tennis pro who takes a job at an exclusive club and quickly moves into the orbit of one of his wealthy students. His engagement to Chloe Hewett opens the door to money, status, and a polished upper-class world, but Chris becomes obsessed with Tom’s American fiancée, Nola (Scarlett Johansson). As the affair deepens, the film ties together class ambition, infidelity, and the role of luck, with tennis serving as both Chris’s profession and a measure of the narrow margins that shape his life.
