ActionAdventureCrimeDramaRomanceThrillerWar96 min
Jane Hoyt arrives in 1950s Hong Kong looking for her missing photographer husband, but the authorities give her little to work with. Susan Hayward is the determined wife, pushed from police offices into the city’s back rooms and waterfront networks, where she’s directed to Clark Gable’s Hank Lee, an American soldier of fortune operating on the edge of Communist China. When Lee agrees to help, Jane’s search opens onto a world of smugglers, political tensions, and risky border crossings as she tries to learn what happened to the man who vanished.
