Simon, a young laborer raised in an underground village, breaks through to the surface and finds a violent world where humans are attacked by giant robots serving a power-hungry ruler. Tetsuya Kakihara is Simon, whose buried life changes when he teams up with Kamina; Katsuyuki Konishi’s Kamina charges at every obstacle with swagger and a plan to fight back. With a small mecha called Lagann, the two move from survival to open rebellion, trading cramped tunnels for deserts, wreckage, and battles that keep growing in scale as they gather allies aboveground.
