The Experiment
DramaThriller96 min
Twenty men sign up for a paid psychological study and are split into guards and prisoners inside a simulated jail, where the rules quickly stop feeling theoretical. Adrien Brody is one of the volunteers trapped on the prisoner side, while Forest Whitaker takes on the role of a guard whose new authority begins reshaping the group. As the researchers keep observing, the exercise starts to echo the 1971 Stanford prison experiment, turning a controlled test of behavior into a closed system of intimidation, humiliation, and escalating violence.
