Overeducated, underemployed, and stalled at 28, Megan panics when her longtime boyfriend proposes and takes an unexpected week away from her own life. Keira Knightley is Megan, comfortable staying a few steps behind while her friends move into marriages and careers. After striking up an unlikely friendship with 16-year-old Annika, she winds up hiding out at the girl's house, where Annika's world-weary single dad Craig is part host, part question mark; Chloë Grace Moretz and Sam Rockwell fill out that uneasy new household. Her detour from adult milestones pulls her into the overlap between teenage recklessness, old routines, and the future she's been avoiding.
