Game Change

ComedyDocumentaryDramaFamily118 min

As John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign looks for a shake-up, the Republican ticket turns to Alaska governor Sarah Palin, a sudden national figure under relentless scrutiny. Julianne Moore is Palin, moving from state politics into the glare of convention speeches, interviews, and debate prep, while Ed Harris’s McCain and chief strategist Steve Schmidt (Woody Harrelson) try to hold the campaign together as the pressure mounts. Game Change follows the selection of Palin as running mate and the chaos inside the campaign operation, staying close to the hotel suites, war rooms, and television appearances where image, messaging, and preparation quickly become the story.
