Brian Clough arrives at Leeds United in 1974 with a league title to defend, a running feud with former manager Don Revie, and no patience for the club’s bruising style of play. Michael Sheen is Clough, all confidence and provocation as he tries to impose himself on players who distrust him from the start. As the pressure builds at Leeds, flashbacks trace his rise at Derby County and the partnership he built with Peter Taylor (Timothy Spall), the assistant whose absence shapes every decision. The film turns football management into a contest of ego, loyalty, and old grudges inside the world of English soccer.
