Some Like It Hot

ComedyCrimeRomance122 min

After witnessing a mob hit in Prohibition-era Chicago, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon are musicians Joe and Jerry, two friends who disappear into an all-female band by disguising themselves as Josephine and Daphne. Their escape heads for Florida, where keeping the act intact gets harder by the mile, especially once Marilyn Monroe’s Sugar Kane, the band’s singer, draws Joe into another layer of deception. Billy Wilder surrounds their getaway with train-car close quarters, mobsters on their trail, and romantic mix-ups that keep both men scrambling to protect their cover.
