The Glory of Team Batista
ComedyDramaMystery120 min
After three patients die on the operating table, a doctor with no surgical background is assigned to investigate the hospital’s most celebrated cardiac team. Yuko Takeuchi is Dr. Taguchi, a specialist in psychosomatic medicine whose lack of insider knowledge is supposed to make her objective. At Toho University Hospital, Team Batista has built its reputation on a high-risk procedure for enlarged hearts, stringing together 26 straight successes before the sudden failures begin. As Taguchi starts asking careful, persistent questions, Hiroshi Abe's sharp-tongued government official pushes the inquiry into the hospital’s hierarchy and the surgeons at its center.
