An American Pickle

ComedyDramaFantasy89 min

An immigrant pickle-factory worker is accidentally brined for a century, then surfaces in modern-day Brooklyn to find that his only living relative is a great-grandson he barely understands. Seth Rogen pulls double duty as both the old-world laborer and the present-day coder, turning the reunion into a generational standoff between scrappy survival instincts and contemporary city life. Sarah Snook circles the pair in the modern-day story, as the film moves from fish-out-of-water comedy to a family story shaped by immigration, faith, and the strange gap between the world someone left and the one that kept going without him.
