Mickey Blue Eyes
ComedyCrimeRomance102 min
Manhattan auctioneer Michael Felgate is ready to marry Gina (Jeanne Tripplehorn) until meeting her family turns his polished New York life into a mob problem. Hugh Grant is Michael, a well-mannered Englishman whose future father-in-law Frank (James Caan) isn’t just intimidating — he’s a gangster with plans for the auction house. What starts as a proposal quickly pulls Michael into shady art deals, FBI scrutiny, and a borrowed wiseguy identity known as Mickey Blue Eyes. The setup leans on Grant’s fish-out-of-water charm while dropping him into a world of wedding plans, mob etiquette, and increasingly awkward criminal favors.
